Does a security research firms track record of vulnerabilities and exploits published make you trust them more, or more likely to hire them?

I don't know about hiring them (knowledge doesn't automatically equal trust, good service, quality deliverables, etc.) but I do appreciate their work - especially as their exploits are added tools like QualysGuard and Metasploit. It helps me stay current with my security assessments and ensure my clients are getting the most bang for their buck.
