Secondary Controller unable to access Primary Controller
I am a realtively new systems administrator who has inherited a badly designed network. I had a couple of days off work and when I came back, my secondary server could no longer access my primary server. When I try to access a shared drive on the primary server from the secondary server I get the following message. "F: is not accessible. Logon failure: The target account name is incorrect." I get the same message on all the shared drives and also when trying to access the primary server directly through the Windows Network. I can ping both servers OK. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer Wiki:
hi, This is a typical case that happens due to a number of mismatches.I would like to know what os is present in your Dc and the additional domain controller. We faced the same problem in our domain where after in place upgrade of our NT domain to win2k3 the PDC was not talking to BDC and all the computers contacting BDC were not getting any updates from the PDC. If you could elaborate the issue it could be very useful to both of us.I would recommend you to check for the latest patches that have been loaded on your DC and PDC and just try to compare the both .There could be chances of some patch mismatch also.
