I need to add a second administrator account in Windows XP. After I type in the new name and click next I get a popup saying the computer administrator already exists. Can't I have more than 1 account with admin rights?

Yes you can but the accounts must be named differently. The names are not case-sensitive.

Labnuke is right, try Administrator2 or something like that.

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. Look at the local users and groups. You can make modifications there.

For Labnuke99's solution, just remember to add the new user account to the administrators group.

I was able to add it by right clicking on My Computer and then Manage. Thanks everyone for your responses.
