Script to extract files information from ftp server
Hi
Wonder if you could help me with the following please.
I would like to construct a script (in any language whichever it's easiest) which when run, it will:
1. Log on to a ftp server using a generic account and password
2. It then find the files (no downloading) in a specific folder that begins with the string "abc".
3. For the relevant files, it obtain their file names along with their creation date, and then save this data in a csv file, on the location where the script is run.
How can this be easilly implement? and in which language would be the easiest for this purpose?
