Script to extract files information from ftp server
Hi Wonder if you could help me with the following please. I would like to construct a script (in any language whichever it's easiest) which when run, it will: 1. Log on to a ftp server using a generic account and password 2. It then find the files (no downloading) in a specific folder that begins with the string "abc". 3. For the relevant files, it obtain their file names along with their creation date, and then save this data in a csv file, on the location where the script is run. How can this be easilly implement? and in which language would be the easiest for this purpose? Many thanks in advance!! Ken

In your <a href="http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers/script-to-extract-files-information-from-ftp-server/">previous question</a> someone pasted a script that seems to do something similar to what you need. Please see the discuss section, and tell us if that doesn't work for you. Regards,
