We have an Exchange 2003 environment. We have many on site consultants, contractors and vendors that are actively working on projects for us. We create an AD account for each vendor, but not a mailbox as a rule. We do not want any vendors sending email as if they worked for my co.
I am trying to find a way to show a vendor's availability for meetings from my scretary's Outlook client. Even if I use their external email address, I have to send it blind.
Does anyone have a similar experience or work arond withot creating a mailbox for all our 3 month contractors?

SharePoint goes live in 4 months. This topic has been mentioned before. If most of the dept. are in the GAL, and one consltant is in Sharepoint, would the meeting have to be planned in Sharepoint also? My fear is that this will cause a huge culture change in everyones workflows when it comes to schedling.
I believe that you can “subscribe” to events and lists in Sharepoint. This would populate the Exchange users calendars. Sharepoint, as a Microsoft product, obviously has some deep ties and connections to the Office suite including Outlook.
