System utilities, SAVRSTOBJ
The AS400 is separate with a Production box and Development box.

Trying to use SAAVRSTOBJ to save object on the production box to the Development box. When running this command from the prod box we are getting a error cpf8933. (the location not found)  The location is the dev box name.



Software/Hardware used:
AS400 on the latest release.

First verify you can ping your Dev box by sysrem name.
If you can, check you Host Table for the Dev box entry:
CFGTCP, option 10: Work with TCP/IP host table entries
Your Dev box should be listed with 3 entries, if not add using option 1.

You must have APPC controllers configured on each system for the other system and they must be active and communicating. Otherwise the remote location name has no meaning. SAVRSTOBJ is an SNA function. You can tunnel SNA connections in TCP (anynet) as most networks don’t support SNA traffic anymore. Also, both systems must have Objectconnect or 5722ss1 opt 22 installed and IBM recommends that both system using that LPP are at the same PTF CUM level.
