For the most part, I generally use Google Docs for most of my documents. And then, most cases, I export it over to a PDF. Here's my question: Can I just save the document as a PDF? Instead of downloading the document and then uploading it to Google Drive. This is just very time consuming for me.

If you are a Chrome user, it may possible. Open your account in Gmail, click view to open a preview of the PDF. Click the print icon at the bottom right hand side of the doc, this will open up the cloud print screen. Under the destination section on the left hand side you can select where to send the doc(s). In this instance, now click on the change button and select Save to Google Drive. Now back at the cloud print screen & press Save and the PDF will be saved.
