Saving data from Citrix. Is Roaming the way to go?

We’re trying to run a program on local machines, terminal servers and Citrix.  The goal is to have it generate logs of user specific data. I think the proper protocol is to save the data in AppData (C:UsersAppDataRoaming) using the following path:

Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData);

Unfortunately it seems that the Citrix based data is not being collected.  After some research, it seems the best thing to do would be to use the following path instead:

Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.LocalApplicationData);

This confuses me because it is a volatile folder (C:UsersAppDataLocal) while data added to the Roaming folder persists from session to session. Does roaming data persist after logoff?
