Save while active question

In trying to get a save while active cl program to work correctly I am having the following dificulty when trying to do a monsmg on the message CPI3712 which is when I want to restart the subsystems so our 911 dispatch center can resume their work I tried the monmsg statement right after the savlib command but it did not start up the subsystems until after the complete save was done which defeats the purpose of the save while active function if I put the monmsg after the declare statment you can only use a goto in execute statement. Is this what I want to do and if it is where do I put the goto tag in the cl program. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi all,
I have a question and submitted long back. But till now i didn’t get any reponse.
Task: If there is any change in the length of a field or a new field added into the existing file, we need to do some Impact Analysis which is time consuming. So i thought of developing a utility for that.
Doubt:I’ll just input the file name,It should search from the Library List and should display all the programs, that file is being used.
Actually it should search for the file that i have inputed and if it has any dependent files, then taking those dependent files also it should search and should display all the programs.
I dont want to use DSPPGMREF because then i have to check for every program whether that file is present or not. This would be again time consuming.
I also dont want to use FNDSTRPDM, as we may not know how many Source Physical Files are present for each library. Also this would be again time consuming.
If it is possible through an API also its fine.
If any one knows about this please respond. It would of great help if you do so.Thanks in advance…………….

Recently we asked Search400 members if they had any advice for "allegan75". Here's what a few of them said: "Copy file with record allocated and save a copy." "I handle this with a message queue monitoring program. Here are the steps I take: 1. Submit a job running the message queue monitoring program. Here is an extract from mine: RMVMSG MSGQ(MISMQ184) CLEAR(*ALL) NXTMSG: RCVMSG MSGQ(MISMQ184) WAIT(*MAX) MSGID(&MSGID) IF COND(&MSGID *EQ CPI3712) THEN(DO) CALL PGM(MISCL188) /*Start QINTER + subsyss*/ RETURN ENDDO GOTO CMDLBL(NXTMSG) /* Ignore extraneous msgs */ 2. Run the backup. Specify SAVACTMSGQ(MISMQ184) in the save command. After the save operation has reached the synchronization point, the system will send message CPI3712 to your save-while-active message queue. Your 'spy' program will immediately start your subsystems."
