As to limits, I don’t know a spec for that, but we have one OUTQ with 22K+ files (the apps folks do this, not me) and I’ve had no problem saving it under V5R4 or V6R1.

I’m not aware of specific limits for spooled files. I would then expect that general limits would apply. See Save and restore limits under the Maximum Capacities topic to start.
