I would save a PF (800G with about 3 billion records) and one of its logical file. OS is v6r1. However it said the save file is too small. I remember that this limitation of save file is 2T while the size of my physical file and logical file no more than 1 T. Anyone can help me? Thanks a lot.

Have you tried to save just the PF?
Are you looking to just get a backup of the file or to port it to a different system?

Are you making use of data compression (DTACPR) when you do the save?

Obviously, you would need disk space available.

Thanks all above. This issue could be solved. when savobj, the parameter "Save access paths" was set '*YES', it is said that all access path of this pf would be saved, whenever the associated logical file is to be saved. So although the size of Physical file + that logical file < 2T, the size of physical file + all eligible logical file (access path) could be  > 2T.
