Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If it works on another computer and not this one then you may have a motherboard issue. Can you update the firmware on the drive or the motherboard? Are there errors showing in your event logs? If so what are they? Can you run diagnostics on the system? Was this a personally built computer or a brand name like Dell or HP? Is it under warranty? Do you have hardware diagnostics software for the system?

No detection on the POST screen when it boots. I tried the "ESTOOL" from SAMSUNG no hard drive detected from it, though it detects the SATA controller on the motherboard. First time in my life I feel like throughing a computer. SOME SPECS OF MY SYSTEM: Motherboard brand: PC CHIPS Model: M955G Raid controller: VIA VT8237 -onboard Hard drive: SAMSUNG HD161HJ Capacity: 160Gb

Samsung also says that the ESTOOL can change the drive from SATA300 to SATA150 if the mother board is only SATA150 compatable. BUT what must I do if the program says NO HARD DRIVE DETECTED!!!!!
