 SATA AHCI driver AMD processor
I have a client machine here it's a HP Pavilion dv6-1210sa Win Vista Installed I need to downgrade it to XP but in the BIOS there is no option to Disable SATA Can anyone tell me where I can find the  SATA AHCI driver for this AMD computer Please Two days now searching and and found nothing that works

I now have explained to our client its not going to work and he decided to upgrade to 7 which made more sense to begin with.

ANother thing we all need to consider as time goes by, is that the newer the PC the less likely it is to run ‘legacy’ hardware, which is exactly what the IDE standard is going through, and it won’t be long with the advent of the SSD’s that we will soon see the SATA’s going the same way. The SSDs are becoming higher capacity, less expensive with a much longer time between breakdowns. I fully expect to see this same question asked about SATA compatibility with SSDs, in the next year or so.
