SAP has multiple MES products that work with them. It all depends on what you are trying to do. The XMII is a great way to interface a shop floor system to SAP and in fact can be used to tie some disparate systems together. Are you in a process industry or discrete. Choose carefully as the implementation is the key and is expensive. SAP may resell some products but keep in mind just because the SAP rep gets compensation for the sale does not make it the best interfaced product.
I am new on this forum and don't know if private messages can be exchanged. If there is a way send me some contact info and I would be glad to share my opinion.

Thanks for your response, though you haven’t told me anything I don’t already know. Four years ago we implemented the discrete strategy for all areas of the shop floor. It works well for final assembly, but in WIP we have some continuous production, and some make to order, and there are too many orders in WIP for a standard MRP push strategy to work well. We would like to use a pull strategy to schedule and complete component (WIP) production so assembly has the right components in the right quantity at the right time. I’d like to hear from those who have real world experience with an MES and xMII and SAP ERP.
