SAP Transport Procedures


SAP Basis transports, SAP development

Need to know best procedures for the following questions.

1. You created a transport in a development system. You decide NOT to move the transport to QA for what ever reason. Do you ...

a. Delete the transports (Through SAP - se10) and let it unlock the objects ?
b. Create a corrective transport to undo your changes and move it through the landscape anyway ?
c. Other (please explain)

2. You have moved something in QA and decide you do not want to move it to production, should you

a.. Delete the transports (Through SAP - se10) and let it unlock the objects ?
b. Create a corrective transport to undo your changes and move it through the landscape anyway ?
c. Other (please explain)

Hello,
in my opinion the best way is:
case 1. delete the transport order with se10 (if you don't just released them, otherweise delete the order in STMS), undo the changes in customizing and delete also the new transport

case 2. undo the changes in customizing, transport in QA and delete both transport orders in STMS

Very important is that the 3 systems are aligned, so be sure to make the right step back in configuration.
