<b> I have been on the AS/400 since it's inception in the late 80's. I have also been a SAP Basis administrator for 11 years on the AS/400. I wouldn't consider anything else to run SAP on,,,why?, because the 400 is one of the most stable platforms out there. It is such a shame that IBM didn't spend more time and money on promoting it. I have been involved with AIX, Windows, Mainframe, and all those other platforms that people have been talked into running SAP on, and still love the 400.
I have performed 3 full lifecycle implementations of SAP on the iSeries. I think it's one of the best systems to install SAP on. I have had consultants come from other OS and when they work on SAP on the 400 they are amazed at the difference, they have commented that it was easier on the 400.
