Objective: Determine SAP locks older than 5 hours and determine when more than X number of ABAP/4 short dumps have accumulated in the system. For the locks enqueue_read is returning the info minus the user ID of the locked objects. For the dumps have not yet determined a function module that will provide the desired information. Any ideas on how to accomplish the objectives will be appreciated. SAP alert monitors appear to be too limited in the info they provide. For the locks, Perl is being used to parse out the desired information from the info returned from enqueue_read. Any one have custom ABAP/4 programs for monitoring?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Do it the other way around.
You can send mail and SNMP Messages from CCMS. It is easy to customize and SAP delivers anything you need for that.

Good look
