SAP GUI installation errors

SAP, Basis, NetWeaver, Upgrades / implementations

In SAP 6.4 When I patch the ?server? files using SAPADMIN it incorporates the patches into the .cab files that are used in the package installation. The patch seems to be updating files in these cab files but also deleting files that appear to be needed because when I install the package on a PC I get errors that files are missing from the installation source. These are the same files that seem to have been deleted from the cab files. What could be the problem?

Thanks for any help

When you install SAPGUI on the PC are you installing to run from the PC or run form the server? What patch level were you on for the Installpoint? What patch level did you try to install on the install point? Sorry for the questions. Just will help in figuring out whats wrong.

Problem has been solved. The problem was that I needed to create an installation share using admsetup. When it was created with admsetup the errors went away.

Thanks for the reply
