We are running SAP R/3 4.7 and we plan to implement SAP BI 7.0 (with ECC6) in the next year. I'm looking for advices to write a BI Reporting Strategy where I have to define the high level criteria that should be used to select the first R/3 reports to be best candidate to be migrated in BI. I also have to define the criteria that should be used to decide whether a report should be developed in R/3 or BI. Any recommendations or documentations related to this subject will be much appreciated. I'm also been asked by some managers why should we use BI for reporting where we already have a reporting capability in R/3. Any paper supporting the use of BI instead of R/3 for reporting will be very helpful.
