 SAP A.G wiill prefer ABAP or BI consultant

I'm from MCA background , & have done ABAP certification also. I'm still a fresher. And I'm getting job to work for SAP BI. But I want to stay on the technical side. & moreover I want to work with SAP A.G as a developer. So in future is there any chance for me to come back to ABAP side after working in BI.  And will SAP A.G prefer a consultant having an experience in BI to work for development.
