Saleslogix, Internal Processes, and Best Practices

SalesLogix

I am looking for information relating to Saleslogix Internal Processes and Best Practices. We are using V6.2 and have not maintained tight controls, therefore we have "dirty" data. We are also having user adoption problems. I would also like to get my hands on sample policies and procedures as it relates to using the system (not a user manual).

Thank you,
theprojmgr.

Congrads, you've admitted that there is a problem - that's the first step. Looks like you have several issues - the problem is that these issues can not be resolved using a canned procedure. What you need to do is look at what your sales and or marketing team is trying to accomplish. Both the dirty data and user adoption issues can be resolved if you take their current processes and automate them. Look at what they do every day and see if you can make it easier. Once they see what's in it for them you then can begin putting data restraints on the system. You know the old saying, garbage in garbage out. Keep it simple in the beginng and create a broad series of activity codes. In six months, review the codes with the sales/marketing manager and fine tune them. Remeber, CRM is a journey full of opposition but if implemented correctly will help all. If you call Sage software they will be able to start you in the right direction.
