Sales unit of Measure question

On our materials, Feet (FT) is our base/standard unit of measure. We want to begin selling in Meter (M) to some customers (not all). I have set up Meter as an alternate unit of measure in MM02. This, so far, has allowed me to enter a sales order (VA01) in Meters. This leaves me with two problems to overcome: 1. Stock requirements converts to FT for me, however it includes decimals in the quantity and I want it to round. What do I need to set up to accomplish this? 2. The Outbound Delivery generates in Meters. This needs to actually generate in Feet because we inventory that way. What do I need to set up to accomplish this? Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked SAP notes of SAP Marketplace? Have a look at note “362932 Conversion with proportion/product units” it appears that it may have the answer for you.

Rounding could create some business process problems. What will your company physically ship if, say, a customer orders 1 meter of product X? A meter is 3.2808 feet: would you short ship only 3 feet? If you solve your internal inventory problem by rounding meter-dimensioned orders, will you be creating an inventory problem for your customer who receives in meters?
