I am attempting to configure the LAN adapter on a MP3000 Integrated Server. Using DEVMAP, I define a pair of addresses(even/odd) as E22/E23 and select device type of 3088, and a device driver type 9 (LCS3172). When I attempt to activate, OS/2 dumps, abends, and the whole machine re-boots, runs chkdsk, and re-boots again.
If I remove the DEVMAP entries that try to use LCS3172, then everything is fine.
How do I determine the problem?

Problem Resolved – Bad LCS3172 Drivers in OS/2. I replaced the LCS3172 driver with one from another system, and it now works fine. Thank You to all who responded.
