runrmtcmd
i am running runrmtcmd from as400 v5r4 to another as400 v5r3 and get this: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.
Command did not complete successfully. what could be the problem? thank you

Hi,
Most likely problem is authorisation - do you give a userid and password to your RUNRMTCMD command or do you have the same userid and password on both machines?
Are you using IP or SNA as the protocal for the RUNRMTCMD? IF you're using IP - I think you need to have the "*REXEC" TCP server started on the remote machine :-
STRTCPSVR *REXEC
