RUNQRY
This may be quiet different to the regular questions. Actually I have coded 3 RUNQRY statements with 3 QRY definitions in a CL program. Program is running fine.Thing is that ,when the control comes before each RUNQRY statement, emulator is prompting for an ENTER key. After pressing the ENTER key. control is processing & the same is happening with the next RUNQRY statement.
Kindly let me know how to avoid this ENTER key prompting before each.
Kindly forgive me, if this is mere basic & please let me know the reason too.
Thanks

    Do you have RCDSLT(*YES) specified?

That's where your problem lies: every time the RUNQRY executes it expects you to either enter selection criteria or override existing selection criteria.  Remove the RCDSLT(*YES) & there should be no prompting.

@Splat  If there is any QRYDEF, then i should use that RCDSLT(*YES) right.

RCDSLT is there to say to the user (assuming interactive use) " We have constructed a query with all the technical part about file joins, calculated results from fields in the files, reformatted the output by column into something sensible, and provided what we think is a sensible set of records to select, We made a result field and named it 'FROMDATE' and another named 'TODATE'  and we would now like you to put the values YOU want in YOUR report into the record selection panel, then press enter.

If the query is the same every time, then you don't need to invite the user to select the records, so the system can get on and run the result without asking.
