In order to perform real-time processing between two AS400s I'm told they need to be run parallel to each other. The two AS400s need to be able communicate quickly with each other via data queues which I have never worked with before. The machines need to be able to respond to each other quick enough so that time outs do no occur.
For example: AS400 #1 sends a request via a data queue to AS400 #2. AS400 #2 must respond to the request via a data queue quickly so the a time out doesn't occur thus losing the request during the process. AS400 #1 receives the response then processes it as necessary.
Any assistance anyone could provide in regard to this would be greatly appreciated!
