How can I run system restore from the command line on a Windows Server 2003? My server can only boot to safe mode command prompt. How can I launch the restore wizard from there? I need to roll back a few days to bring the server back up.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can boot to safe mode with command prompt to launch the system restore gui. You have to type the following commands

cd windows\system32
cd restore
rstrui.exe
Select the date you want to roll back top
Start your restore

You can also read the post I wrote up on doing just that over here.
This will work from XP, Server 2003, Vista and probably newer operating systems as well.
