I have an application written in Visual Basic. The application runs on windows XP system with oracle 8i and Crystal report 8.5 The application suppose to interface with an oracle 8i database. In attempt to run the application it gives this error: 'Run-Time Error 339 component 'CRYSTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registed : a file is missing or invalid'. In attempt to register the file, I went to 'run'and type in ' Regsvr32.exe crystl32.ocx' but I got this message, 'LoadLibrary(''crystl32.ocx'')failed - The specified module could not be found. I can find the file 'CRYSTL32.OCX' in the system32 folder of the system in question. Please I will appreciate solution from anybody. Thank you, Idongesit Daniel.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

sounds like you have not installed the needed runtime files on this machine. search the entire hard drive for this file. and see if it exists.

please explain how you moved your application over to this machine. Did you create setup disks? If so, with what tool?
