    Here is one way:

    Pos = 0

    maxSize = 500

    Setll *start myfile

    Read myfile

    Dow not %Eof(myfile) and Pos < MaxSize -1

    Pos += 1

    MyArray(Pos) = MyField;

    Read myFile

    EndDo

    The example is all RPG, you will need substitue the file name you want to use for myfile. The field in the file for MyField, etc.
