Default gateway is typically the ip address through which a computer on a local area network can send traffic to in order to get out to the internet. For example, if your computer's address is 192.168.0.2 and your internet router's ip address is 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.1 (your internet router) would be your default gateway.

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking about, the question was rather brief. If you could describe more what you are running into that would help.

Hi Jaanjann,

I’m not trying to be rude here, but you could also try typing your questions into the search box on http://google.com . You’ll find there are thousands of pages with the answers.
