How many files can we declare in one RPGLE program (maximum no. of file)?

I know of no limit to the number of files in a single program.
If you are even a little worried about it, you should analyize what you are doing.

    How many files are you looking to use? If you are worried about reachin a max, you may be better off creating procedures to make the program more managable. A lot of files means a large compile listing and debugging becomes harder as well. I believe our largest number of files in a single application by our software vendor is about 40. I try to keep our custom code to about 15. If I need more files then it's a procedure or a program call to retrieve the data. Goes back to the old school way of modular programming that so many have gotten away from.
