    Only if you put it there. Every job has a Local Data Area (LDA) It is created when a job is initiated and is deleted when a job ends. When created it is blank. It can be used to pass information form one program to another within a job stream.

    We have no way to know if you have put the current date into a *LDA. If you put one in there, then it will be there. If you didn't, then there won't be one there. . Tom

    however, you can always get the current date with the %date() BIF.[br]date_fld = %date();[br]dec_fld = %dec(%date():*iso);[br]char_fld = %char(%date():*iso);[br]in addition, you can use any of the date formats in place of *iso above (for example *mdy)
