We have one cisco 2611 (gw1) that is our gateway to the internet. It has 4 T1s terminated into it. How can we provide automatic failover to another router (gw2)since all circuits connect into gw1?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Router A
Router B

terminate 2 T1 in router A and the other 2 T1 in router B, by this each router has redundancy into it.

place command in rotuer A to sense the link, as soon as the link goes down in router A, link through router B will up and running.

by this we can have less down time for mail server and internet if link goes down.

thanks & regards

I'm a little rusty when it comes to WAN design, but I seem to recall that you can use BGP from the outside to balance traffic/provide failover, and VRRP from inside to do the same. Can someone in the community confirm this for me please? Cheers
