Hi. I can’t answer your SIP question – but I wanted to point you to a SIP tutorial from our sister site SearchUnifiedCommunications.com. It covers a lot of ground and may be a help to you.

If you are looking to harness PBX features from your SIP account, with VoIP calling, extension dialing and service connecting to the PSTN, look for a providers that deliver a full suite of hosted SIP-PBX features. This service is sometimes called a SIP Communications Server, and includes options for corporate PBX features through your SIP accounts!

This video channel presents some of the real life business benefits achieved through SIP!
