Route command
In XP i used to enter the command ROUTE ADD to a route path into my PC as a client but in Windows 7 it can't be used. What can I use instead? Thx.

Hi,

Microsoft changed the user account security policy since Windows Vista. A standard user does not have administrator privilege anymore. If you want to use “higher rights” run a application, please right click the file and choose “Run as administrator”.

It’s there in Windows 7 - right-click on c:windowssystem32cmd.exe (although you may not have access to it) and select Run as Administrator. Or course, if you can do this you might as well just login and do everything as administrator.
