 Roaming profiles on SBS2000
We've recently migrated from a SBS NT4 to SBS 2000 server; everything went ok even installing and using VPN. Now I am facing the following problem: As I create a new user with the Add user wizard or with copy user, the new user cannot log on any workstation on the network. While logging this error message pops: Profile folder severnamesharenameusername.pds cannot be made, you will logon with a local profile. After 30 seconds another error message saying: The local profile cannot be found. Then windows starts loading, when I manually create the folder on the share everything goes fine. Any explanations or help so that it can be created by itself?

Answer Wiki:
Do the new users have the Full Control or Change permission on your profiles folder Share? The user's profile folder is not created until the user logs on for the first time. If the user does not have the necessary share permissions on the profiles folder, the user's profile directory cannot be created.
