    Message ID

    RNF8047

    Message

Alternate-Collating-Sequence table or array not defined; defaults to standard table.

    Cause

An Alternate-Collating-Sequence table or array is specified, but no data is provided to load the table. The alternate table defaults to the standard table.

    Recovery

Define the data for the Alternate-Collating-Sequence table. Compile again.

Check your specs for a table or array you are defining.

We need to see what you have at sequence number 000700 at the very least. Otherwise all we can say is to do what the message tells you to do. -- Tom

i am trying to perform a small MOVE operation. Please find the program below.Problem is that, I was facing the same error(RNF8047) with every program.programs that are compiled successful in the past are also throwing the same error If I am  trying to recompile again. Not even to compile at-least a single program. In each & every program I used to get this error at the program termination line ( SETON LR/EVAL *INLR=*ON). I tried to compile with other user Id's I was with the same error. I am not declaring any F-spec here.

Unfortunately, you aren't showing the actual source. It looks partly like a SEU view of the source, and partly a section from a compiler listing. How are you generating the view of that source?

Best thing is probably just to run DSPPFM for the source file member. That will show parts of source records that we can't see in other ways.

The compiler has an option Sort sequence (SRTSEQ)

Try prompting the compiler (F4 ) and set SRTSEQ to *HEX

    See if that compiles.

I thought about that, but specifying the value doesn't give output that resembles what was posted. The only way I can find to get some of that output is to put an ALTSEQ table in the source, and the left-most characters of source are hidden here.

Odd, I see the entire source .. in IE 8.

Using IE 8, I don't see what's in positions 1-5 of the source records, where for example any "**" characters might be that could mark an ALTSEQ table. -- Tom

I don't find any solution for this, But, with a trail & error method, I kept H-Spec with Debug(*yes) on the first row of each program , now every programming is compiling without any errors.  I can compile my old programs also.As I am start-up kid, I was unable to get the exact reason for this scenario.
Mr. Tom, could you please let me know , the reason.
