I need to enable RIP on R1 & R2 to route for 192.168.1.0/24, on R2 configure default route to forward unknown destinations to ISP, on R2 propagate the default route to R1, on ISP configure a single static route the 192.168.1.0/24 network pointing to R2, configure RIP so that the routing updates are not sent out the R1 or R2 LANs

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

We will assume these are Cisco routers, as you did not specify this in your question.

what you need to do is

Use the default-originate command to propogate the default route.
Create the static default route on router 2
Configure a static route on router 1 for the R2 network
Use the passive-interface command to stop the RIP updates on the LANs

That should be more than enough information for you to complete the job. If you work out the rest for yourself, then you will learn something, if you were just given the configuration (which would be difficult seeing as you have left out a lot of the IP information) then you just copy it and learn nothing. The idea of the course you are on is to learn, not to just ask someone else for the answer.
