Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

My current shop doesn’t really use RFID. Just a PC with wireless AS/400 connection in the W/h.
Prior shop did a variety of things: short-range scan guns to feed info to nearby workstation in lieu of using keyboard, long-range RF throughout the W/h (less reliable & hard to repair so being phased out), and “brick” scanners (for cycle counting) that dump to a PC (via wire) with application to pass to AS/400 to update inventory.
Not sure if you’re looking at fancier stuff, but these simple RF uses worked well.

Not in our organization so far. I dont think its going to make it to the profit center level in the near future.

I have used it extensively in one of the major malls in Cairo that was 8 floors and 2 adjacent buildings - one old and one new. The purpose was to:
    1. do real time attendance of security staff deployed there at that start and end of their shift (approx 400+ security staff each shift)
    2. Do real time monitoring of supervisor on round on each floor.
    3. Incident recording and alerts
    4. Site supervision.

Centralized control room at a remote location was all the time aware of position, number of guards and real time alert of incidents.

I did it through NFC phones, RFID static fixed tags on walls, ATMs etc. and RFID identity cards for security staff..
