Revive my subnotebook

toshiba, Libretto, U100, subnotebook, MBR, OS

I am new here, was referred by Google and I didn’t think I would seek help I thought I was a computer savvy.
I will like to know how can I fix my sub notebook I have a Toshiba Libretto u100 that suddenly mess-up after I downloaded a file and open it. First it started to go slow, then it was completely slow and not running I shut it down manually (what a mistake I did) I once again boot it up and it would not boot. so I get the recover disc that I created for specifically the libretto and it works to the 4th CD then it fails…and says missing OS. I think is the MBR but I don’t know for sure. Any Ideas WOuld like to know Email me at This_is_a_long_id@yahoo.com
And put as a subject

Sounds like your machine got a virus on it. A good anti-virus should have been able to prevent this from happening.

If the restore disks for the laptop aren't working you'll need to contact Toshiba and have them send you another set of disks. They will probably want to walk you through the restore process before they ship them to you to make sure that you didn't make in incorrect selection somewhere along the line.

It's usually not a good idea to post your email address on public forums. That is one of the ways that spammers and scammers get your email address causing you to get more SPAM. Also most people will post the response here so that all can see the response.

Thanks, I didn't know how to use this website...and how someone could answer my question.
The worst thing about it is that this computer is discontinued from toshiba. The Anti-virus software is only for
future references its to late now. All i need is a recovery disk that does not need to be installed first. The OS is missing and i don't know how to fix it. So no installation anti virus works. What are the other options?
