 Reuse of Microsoft Office
My Dell laptop died on me in less than 2 years. I had installed Microsoft Office on it shortly after aquiring it. Now I have a new laptop. Can I install my previous Microsoft Office on it?

The general answer is : If you purchased an OEM copy of Office with the Laptop. No If you purchased a retail version of Office. Yes There may be variations based upon the license you have. I am not a MS licensing professional but have had to suffer through the pain of reading them just to keep legal. Hope this helps.

You can avoid the pain of reading legal document. By calling customer support of your previous laptop company and ask them about details of MS Office. As company stores information about each software sold along with hardware/laptop
