    Note that "system name" is a SNA concept. It is unrelated to a TCP/IP host name. If SNA system name is what is being requested, then RTVNETA SYSNAME() is appropriate. But if the TCP/IP host name is needed, then a CLP shouldn't be used at all. You should use a CLLE program (ILE CL) to access the TCP/IP DNS APIs that can correctly determine host name. Tom
