Is there any way to retrieve the user ID from their i5OS user profile using inly their password

Software/Hardware used:
IBM iSeries i5 OS V5R4

None that I am aware of.
Multiple profiles could have the same password.
Since you can display all profiles on the system, if they know the password can they not figure out what the profile would be?

    Only profiles that they're authorized to can be listed. More important, though, the fact that every profile on the system could have the same password makes it clear that there's no reasonable way to go from a password to a profile. CharlieBrowne is right. Tom

    There is a TAATOOL called DSPPWD that will display all passwords on the system and their corresponding user profiles. You can find the ID from this list.

    There is a TAATOOL called DSPPWD that will display all passwords on the system and their corresponding user profiles. It only works for passwords that the tool captured while registered as the password validation program. Anyone may write such a program and store the passwords for later retrieval. Tom
