I would like to retrieve all the previously used commands without using f9 and to put it in to a file with index so that we can just enter the index value to retrieve the particular used command. Is there any way?

Hi,

It’s a long time since I did this, but if I remember correctly you can use RCVMSG to receive the previous commands from the joblog. You’ll probably need to experiment with the parameters to get what you want, but I think you’ll need the following – MSGTYPE(*RQS) PGMQ(*PRV) or PGMQ(*EXT).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.
