Hi there, I want to restrict a user to specific clients in IDES 4.6C (i.e., he/she should not be able to log on the 000 client). I also want to restrict the user's specific session, and create a report on particular date to show all the transactions a specific user has run on that date. How shall I proceed? Please post your advice.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I’m afraid I’m a bit of a novice at all this, but cant you restrict user access to systems by using transaction code SU01? Theres a systems tab which you can use to specify system access, as long as you have no linked roles/profiles to that system (you can remove them first using the respective tabs).

Thanks,
Andrew G.

Hi there, first you need a user and a password to have access to another client, if a user does not have that he cannot log on to the client. The 000 client ist mostly the original SAP client, there should be only one user with access to it that is the administrator. With other clients you can customize the sap logon so that he doesn't has the choice but to log onto the client which is there. second to show the transactions a user has run on a specific date you need to trace him. That needs resources. You should not permanently trace users. Hope that helped.

Hi there, you can use a user exit to restrict specific logons. See SAP note 37724 for more information.

Hi there, you can use a user exit to restrict specific logons. See SAP note 37724 for more information. In transaction ST03N you get some statistic information also the transactions a users run in a specific time period. Klaus
