		<description><![CDATA[Hi. You could also load win xp pro service pack2. This comes with a windows firewall. You then turn on the firewall and create only one exception and that is the other computer.

		<description><![CDATA[you can create a user in your restricted xp and name it &quot;xpcomps&quot; and than grant it any permission that you like, after that enable guest account in that xp, the user that try to connect to that xp in the first time from the network will get a pop up windows that ask for user and password, according to the user that you have create they can now have a access to that resources.
if your goal is to restrict computers based on the network access wich mean&#039;s ip approach you can update the restricted xp to sp2 and with the integrated firewall alow or disallow access from the network - go to the firewall and pass to the exception tab you find there a file and printer sharing line, press the edit tab and then the &quot;change scope&quot; button you find there a  &quot;private custom list&quot; button push it and deside who will get into that restricted computer . i hope it help you --  dror]]></description>
