Restore to a Server with different disk drives

Hi. I have a setup with 2 identical servers using Windows 2008 Server.  One of the servers went down. Economically it was cheaper to get a new server than fix the old.

Now I want to use a backup of the working server to restore the new server. Pretty straight forward. Now comes the twist. On the working server I have different disks and therefore different drivers. I do not have the drivers for the new disks. I can boot up the server with the software used to create a backup of the working server and the drivers on a USB key. From there the restore process could be done but when I have a restored copy I would no longer have the new disk drivers. Will I be able to boot up my restored server? Can I somehow install the new disk drivers on the working server so they would be included in a backup copy or would that cause a conflict for the original disks?

This sounds complicated and there's some missing information. I do know that if you have varying hardware that vendors such as Acronis (TrueImage) can do to cross-platform backups and restores. That might be worth looking in to.

Thank you Kevin. I will take a look at the TrueImage.  If need be I will come back with a more detailed version of what is going.

    Thanks again
