Restore BRMS backup using native command line
I have an archive/backup done using BRMS from few years ago. These tapes were converted from one media to another. Now, we would like to restore the objects/libraries in this media using the RSTOBJ in iSeries. The problem were having is we cannot restore these object using native command. Is there a way in restoring this without BRMS. Thank you.

Answer Wiki:
The objects are stored on the tape just like it would be using just the AS/400 commands except that BRMS adds other BRMS libraries with location data to the end of the save and saves some items in a different order but I have always used the AS/400 commands to restore objects normally. Please describe in detail what error you are getting. Lovemyi

Why not?

What happens? What messages are shown? What restore commands are you trying to use? What commands were used to save the objects?

I would first start with a DSPTAP command to an outfile, if that command does not give correct output I fear some damage done on the Tape(s) or maybe the volumes were not converted correctly. There should be no reason why native commands should not work on BRMS created volumes.
