Q:
Restoration file problem due to a different release ??
Dear Sirs

, recently we change our version to V5R4 in our producton system. When we tried to restore a save file that was saved in V5R3 we experience the following :

Files in the disk which should be replaced from the restoration got extension 001 (for example FILE0P became FILE0001) and all logicals remain to be attached to this file(FILE0001) . Please be so kind and inform me how can i bybass this problem and do the file restoration successfully , without the extension 0001.

Thank you sirs!!!

If the restored on the system and have data, can you not just rename them to what you want them to be?
Or just do a CPYF to the correct file name?
