Does this mean u have a wireless router at home and ur laptop can connect to ur home network but will not connect to other “public access” wireless !
What specific error messages do u get when u try to connect away from the home?
What happens when u rightclick the wireless network icon in ur taskbar and “View available wireless networks”
Do u have a normal wireless network card in this machine or is it one of the newer “Connect Anywhere” modem/NIC units that connect using cellphone type technology?

Please clarify these to solve this problems !

What do you mean by “reset” it? Are you turning the wireless off and back on again on the laptop? Have you tried updating the drivers or uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers?
